I was one of several students at the April 2009 SPJ Conference in Hollywood, FL. I worked overnight at the COSAC homeless shelter to cover a wedding between two of their residents. I was the sole person responsible for gathering audio of the event (I did not take the photos used in the slideshow, but I did determine their order of appearance). I interviewed the bride and groom, both of whom suffer from serious disease and addiction, about their hopes for a future together as husband and wife.
